Dry and warm weather will persist across West Central Texas through Friday, as a high pressure ridge aloft dominates our weather. Light winds will prevail the next 24 hours, with lows tonight in the 60s and highs tomorrow afternoon in the upper 80s and lower 90s.

Upper level high pressure will remain largely in control through the remainder of the week and into the middle of next week. This will result in near to above normal temperatures for the first week of October. Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s on Thursday and Friday, with lows in the lower to mid 60s. Highs over the weekend and into the beginning of next week will generally be in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Models are hinting at a possible frontal passage around the middle of next week which may be accompanied by slightly cooler temperatures and an uptick in rain chances. Otherwise though warm and dry conditions will persist through the long term.
