.SYNOPSIS...
Winds will be breezy from the east through Tuesday evening.
High pressure over the region will bring warm and dry
conditions through the work week. Unsettled weather returns this
weekend.

.DISCUSSION...
With an upper-level ridge of high pressure situated over the Pacific
and Inland Northwest, warm and sunny conditions are in store for the
entirety of the region through the end of the workweek. The current
position of the ridge axis and thermally-induced surface trough
beneath it over western WA has resulted in breezy easterly winds
across the Cascades which will continue through this afternoon and
evening. The easterly winds will subside overnight into Wednesday as
the ridge axis and thermal trough shift east of the Cascades.
Temperatures will stay relatively consistent in the mid to upper 80s
through the end of the workweek until our next trough moves in
heading into next weekend cooling temperatures closer to
climatologically normal values in the low to mid 70s. Uncertainties
remain regarding the exact strength and timing of the trough, but it
will likely bring gusty southwesterly winds and returning chances
for mountain precip in addition to the cooler temperatures. The
winds will be something to monitor as the weekend approaches. /Fewkes

00Z TAFS: General winds will remain out of the east to
northeast through the evening with clear skies. Gusts 15-20 kts
at KPUW through 03Z.
