- Tranquil weather conditions will continue through the weekend
  with afternoon highs in the 80s and 90s.

/Through Thursday Night/
As high pressure settles across the Southern Plains, slightly
warmer temperatures are expected today compared to yesterday.
Yesterday, most locations ranged from the mid 80s to around 90
degrees. Today, expect the range of temperatures to be between
90-96 degrees. The warming trend will also translate to
overnight temperatures in the mid 60s to around 70 degrees across
the region.
Another 2-4 degree increase is expected on Thursday compared to
today with continued strengthening of the high pressure system.
Winds will remain relatively light out of the southeast.

/Friday Onward/
The area of high pressure, mentioned in the short-term discussion,
will remain atop North and Central Texas well into next week.
Minor modifications can be expected in the amplitude and strength
of the high, however, sufficiently strong subsidence will prevent
any precipitation from developing over our region. Temperatures
each afternoon will climb into the lower to mid 90s with overnight
temperatures in the 60s to mid 70s.

A cluster of thunderstorms across the Texas Panhandle and western
Oklahoma is weakening and not expected to impact our area.
However, high clouds will stream in from the northwest through the
early morning hours. Cloud heights will likely remain near FL250.
Winds will remain out of the southeast through this forecast
cycle, fluctuating between 4-8 kts.
