- Tranquil weather conditions will continue through the weekend
  with afternoon highs in lower to mid 90s.

/Through Friday/
Mostly sunny skies will prevail through the end of the work week
as the axis of mid/upper ridging gradually shifts east over the
state of Texas. Expect dry conditions and afternoon highs in the
low to mid 90s through Friday. Slightly warmer overnight lows in
the upper 60s to mid 70s will return tonight as southerly flow
ticks dewpoints up a few degrees.

/This Weekend and Beyond/
North and Central Texas will remain under the influence of
mid/upper ridging through early next week keeping a repeating
forecast of afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s and very little
to no rain chances through at least Tuesday-Wednesday of next
week. A shortwave trough transiting the Central Plains during the
latter half of the weekend will likely bring increased mid/upper
cloud cover over much of the region, but any rain chances should
remain well north and northwest of our forecast area.
Extended range deterministic and ensemble guidance continues to
suggest a pattern change may occur in the Day 8-9 timeframe. High
pressure may begin to breakdown over North and Central Texas and
shift back toward the Desert Southwest by the end of next week
allowing upper-level disturbances to pass over our forecast area.
With this potential increase in rain chances remaining well over a
week away, continue to check back for forecast updates through the
weekend and next week.

VFR conditions with predominately south winds below 10 kts will
prevail through the TAF period for all North and Central Texas
terminals. Winds may back more easterly for a few hours later
tonight at KACT, but should remain light enough to forgo any
