.SHORT TERM... (Rest of today through Thursday) Issued at 1032 AM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025

All remains very quiet regarding the weather with this continuing through at least the next 7 days. Water vapor imagery this morning shows a shortwave moving over the area which is resulting in some mid to high level clouds today. The HREF shows this shortwave producing just a couple showers this afternoon, mainly near the TN/KY border. However, the chance that any of this produces even a hundredth of an inch is only around 10%. So still a dry, calm day in store with high temperatures warming into the mid and upper-80s. A troughing pattern continues over our area heading into Thursday, with the HREF picking up on a very low chance of a stray shower. Overall though, it`ll be another calm day with no hazardous weather expected.

Meanwhile, temperatures will be increasing with highs today reaching into the mid- and upper-80s and then getting into the low-90s for some locations on Thursday.

.LONG TERM... (Thursday Night through next Wednesday) Issued at 1032 AM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025

A large upper-level ridge will be strengthening over the Plains this week, and as we head into the weekend, this ridge of high pressure will be shifting to the east. For Middle TN, this means that temperatures will be rising. Highs will be in the 90s for most of the area, and even into the mid- and upper-90s by Sunday and Monday. A little good news is that humidity will remain low throughout this time. Otherwise, rain chances will be near zero this weekend and into next week.
