.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1223 PM CDT Fri Sep 5 2025

Forecast looks on track with dry conditions persisting through majority of the forecast. The upper trough that has been firmly planted over the eastern US will relax some today which in result will lead to slightly higher temperature through Sunday. A re- enforcing upper trough will push across the Great Lakes on Saturday into Sunday bringing a isolated chance of rain across southeastern Mississippi before pushing yet another front through the area. Drier air will quickly move in from the northwest bringing noticably drier conditions across the area for the remainder of the week. The only real thing we need to watch rain wise would be across the immediate coastline as the remnant boundary loiters offshore. Current guidance tends to think it should remain offshore keeping the POPs below 10% for most of the week; however, if the boundary does not quite make it as far offshore and moisture is a little better then an isolated storm or two along the seabreeze each afternoon next week cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s across the week and the biggest change will be noticed with the dewpoints staying lower. This means you might be able to make it to the mailbox before sweating. Probably wont make it to the box and back but its better than sweating by just looking outside like it normally feels like. Given the lower dewpoints, gustier winds and drier conditions, we may need to keep an eye on some minor fire weather concerns but given its still our soggy season we probably won`t reach any criteria. Just something to keep an eye on. BB-8

.MARINE... Issued at 1223 PM CDT Fri Sep 5 2025

A mostly light diurnal flow will continue through Saturday with an onshore flow developing in the afternoon then becoming offshore at night. A northerly flow follows for Sunday and strengthens Sunday night before relaxing slightly on Monday. A moderate to occasionally strong east to northeasterly flow develops Monday night and persists on Tuesday. Will likely need to monitor the Monday through Tuesday timeframe for small craft advisory conditions and small craft will likely need to exercise caution during that time. BB-8
