.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1156 PM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025

An eastern states upper trof slowly becomes oriented along the East Coast by Friday night then lingers near this position into Saturday. The upper trof is strengthened by a Canadian system on Sunday, with an upper low forming over the northeast or Mid Atlantic states by Monday and generally remains in place through Wednesday. An upper ridge over the central states meanwhile slowly advances into part of the eastern states not occupied by the upper trof/low, then begins to weaken a bit by Wednesday as a system advances from the northwest states into the northern Plains. A surface ridge over the eastern states persists into early next week before weakening, and this promotes a mostly northeasterly surface flow over the forecast area except for a sea breeze circulation which develops each afternoon. The overall pattern limits deep layer moisture for the most part over the forecast area and have continued with a dry forecast through Wednesday. Highs for Thursday through Monday will be around 90 or in the lower 90s, then highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly 90 to 95. Lows Thursday night through Tuesday night typically range from the mid 60s inland to near 70 at the coast, with lower 60s occasionally occurring inland. A low risk of rip currents is expected through Monday. /29
