(Today through next Wednesday)
WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: A few scattered showers return north of
I-80 for Wednesday, ahead of our next system. Thursday and Friday
will see much more widespread showers and a few thunderstorms
across the entire forecast area as an upper low drops out of the
Pacific Northwest and begins its passage across the US.
Temperatures will also cool significantly behind this system, with
highs struggling to reach 60 and lows in the 20s and 30s.
Conditions dry out on Saturday, but temperatures struggle to
rebound, only reaching the upper 60s by Tuesday.
FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: Increasing but still moderate
confidence for the late week storm system. Moderate to strong
confidence for temperature trends.

.AVIATION...
VFR conditions are expected at all terminals through Thursday
morning with no precipitation in the forecast. Afternoon winds at
KELY will gust to near 18 KTs Wednesday afternoon.

.FIRE WEATHER...
Another area of low pressure is beginning to take shape in the
eastern Pacific and is expected to affect the weather across the
area late Thursday through early Saturday. As a result, expect
more wet weather late in the week with below normal temperatures.
No fire weather concerns are noted during this forecast period.
