.SYNOPSIS... High pressure will exit to the east today. A cold front will approach tonight and cross the area Sunday. High pressure will build over the region Monday into Tuesday then slide east of the area Wednesday.

&&

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH SUNDAY/... High pressure over the area will slide to the east today. The return flow behind the high will work with a weak upper level disturbance to bring a partly to mostly cloudy sky over the north while Downeast remains partly sunny. Temperatures will make a run for 70 as the return flow ushers in some slightly warmer air.

High pressure will continue away to the east tonight as a cold front begins to approach from the north. This will bring a partly cloudy and milder night tonight with lows from the mid 40s north to near 50 Downeast.

An upper level shortwave trough dropping south from Quebec will slide by to our northeast on Sunday as high pressure approaching from Hudson Bay pushes a cold front through. The upper trough and cold front may bring some light spotty showers over the north around midday, and Downeast later in the afternoon. Moisture is very sparse so any showers will likely be light and brief. Otherwise, the sky will be partly cloudy with high temperatures once again ranging from the mid to upper 60s north to the low 70s Downeast.
