.DISCUSSION...
KEY MESSAGES:
- Temperatures will warm today through Wednesday with dry
  weather.
- Dry weather expected for the next 5 days with the next chance of
  rain either Saturday or Saturday night.
WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
An upper level trough over eastern Montana overnight will move to
the east today. Upper ridge will move into the area from the west
today and Tuesday with mostly clear skies and warmer temperatures.
Wednesday will be the warmest day as the ridge moves into the
Dakotas. The ridge will flatten Wednesday night and Thursday with
a shortwave trough moving across the Canadian Prairies. A dry
cold front Wednesday night will bring slightly cooler temperatures
on Thursday. Dry weather continues on Friday with another ridge
over the area. Models and ensembles are pointing towards and upper
trough moving into the region this weekend with chances for
precipitation beginning either saturday or Saturday night and
continuing into early next week.
FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
There is high confidence in warmer temperatures and mostly clear
skies today through Wednesday and high confidence in dry weather
through Friday. There is moderate confidence in an upper trough
moving in during the weekend, but there is low confidence on
precipitation chances and amounts.

FLIGHT CAT RANGE: VFR today and tonight.
DISCUSSION: Some mid level clouds early this morning. Otherwise,
mostly clear skies will prevail today and tonight.
WIND: Light and variable early this morning becoming SW 5 to 15
knots after sunrise this morning and west 10 to 15 knots this
afternoon. West winds will diminish to 5 knots or less this
evening and become light and variable overnight.
EQUIPMENT: At KSDY an AMD NOT SKED will remain in place until
the METARs comms issue is repaired.
